The Garage at Northwestern’s NUseeds Fund has invested $100,000 in Olympus, a startup founded by Scott Tsangeos (MBA) ‘24 that utilizes software to help elite coaches manage and analyze strength and conditioning data. The investment will enable the team to accelerate growth as they continue scaling a product with real users and early traction.

Olympus is a coaching platform that helps teams and personal trainers manage programming, track athlete performance, and stay connected with clients. The platform turns Excel-based workout plans into an interactive experience, allowing athletes to log sets, reps, and videos, while giving coaches access to performance analytics and communication tools.

Tsangeos developed Olympus through his engagement with Northwestern’s collegiate athletics community and entrepreneurial ecosystem. The team refined its product in collaboration with Northwestern Athletics and participated extensively in multiple Garage and entrepreneurship programs, including Jumpstart, Residency, VentureCat, and Kellogg’s Zell Fellows. In 2024, Olympus won the third-place $25,000 prize at VentureCat, a crucial step in the company's growth.

“The Garage taught us that we do not have to build Olympus alone,” Scott said. “Our team came together through Startup Matchmaking, our early work happened in Garage conference rooms, our first full-time experience came through Jumpstart, and our initial capital came from VentureCat. To this day, The Garage is the first place I turn when I need guidance or perspective.”

With this investment, Olympus plans to double down on strategies that are already working. Over the past year, the team ran hundreds of experiments to refine its channels, messaging, and go-to-market approach. This funding allows the company to scale those learnings, invest intentionally in sales and marketing, and take Olympus into its next stage of growth.

Beyond funding, Tsangeos emphasized the importance of The Garage’s community in shaping the company’s journey. “The openness, willingness to share, and belief that success is not a zero-sum game is what makes the [Garage] community special. Having a network of founders who truly understand the journey is an enormous asset.”
