Personal Inspiration to Sales Coaching Innovation

Amit Bakshi started his entrepreneurial journey inspired by a personal experience and the motivation he found through the example of one of his heroes, David Goggins. At a time of craving support and structure, Amit created his own “Coach Goggins,” a virtual motivator that helped him train for a marathon — a breakthrough that sparked the original idea behind his company, then called SelfActualize AI.

Since then, Amit has evolved the company’s mission to focus on corporate and sales coaching, helping sales teams accelerate revenue by putting a virtual sales coach that’s always on call — before, during, and after their sales calls – in their pockets. Recently rebranded as WingRep, the company now offers a fresh, focused product that blends AI-driven coaching with human-centered support.

Driving Results & Building Resilience

WingRep has already made an impressive impact, helping clients close major deals faster — like a $1.6 million contract closed in just three meetings versus the typical five to seven meetings. The platform helps reps prep for sales calls with pre-meeting briefings and roleplays, during with Q&A,  provides post-meeting critiques, drafts follow-up emails, writes to CRM, and most importantly offers 24/7 support, acting as a revenue acceleration copilot for sales teams.

Looking ahead, Amit’s vision is to create an infallible coach that’s perfectly dialed in — offering perfect memory recall and constant availability. The team’s WingRep coach is dialed into every call, it gives managers a conversational, AI-native lens into what is happening with their reps, deals, and customers. Rooted in a fresh approach to coaching that integrates smart technology with deep care for the individual, WingRep aims to redefine how sales teams get support and boost morale.

The Power of Community & IGNITE

Being part of IGNITE has been transformative for Amit. He values the genuine bonds formed with cohort peers and the broad range of perspectives available through the program. Beyond the community, Amit gained angel investors and secured several customers thanks to connections made within IGNITE.

The program’s “who-not-how” philosophy resonated deeply — since joining, Amit raised $775K, grew from pre-revenue to ten paying enterprise customers, and benefited from ongoing, repeated interactions that helped foster meaningful relationships. Mentors also played a crucial role in guiding Amit through the company’s rebrand and strategic pivot.

Amit and WingRep’s story highlight the power of combining personal passion, innovative technology, and strong community support in building a promising startup in the sales coaching space.
